We gather each Sunday at 11:00 am for worship by singing hymns, hearing readings from the bible, praying together and a celebration of Holy Communion. Communion is the spiritual bread our bodies need to live. All are invited to join us at the Lord's table to be fed by his heavenly food, There are no strangers in God’s house, and if you choose to worship with us, we would be honored by your presence. Introduction As we continue to celebrate the fifty days of Easter, today’s gospel includes Jesus’ promise that he goes to prepare a place for his followers in his Father’s house. Our baptism commissions us to share Jesus’ mission in the world. As 1 Peter reminds us, we are a holy people, called to proclaim the one who called us out of darkness into light. In words and deeds we bear witness to the risen Christ—our way, our truth, our life. -

Please contribute if possible. Feed-A-Child Yancey County was founded in the Fall of 2007 by Robert and Glenda Wyatt to provide healthy snacks for kids who need food over the weekends. Volunteers pack and deliver the snacks to the schools that have identified children in need. The schools send the bags home with the children on Fridays.
